Verl Smith Racing for Vets Sets 2008 Race and Show circuit

Portland, OR: By coordinating the western AHDRA drag race series (www.ahdra.com) Verl “Smitty” Smith is organizing a special Harley-Davidson drag bike show prior to each event at selected regional VA hospitals.

Most teams are just worried about how they’re getting to the track, Smitty and friends take time, make time to visit some great American heroes, our veterans. Smitty takes with him not only a few hours of time to visit but some of the technical jargon appreciated by the Vets and, of course, Smitty brings his winning Harley-Davidson race bike. Smitty encourages other teams to come to the VA facilities and often there will be 5-10 Harley-Davidson drag bike teams in full race regalia.

This year, Smith’s association with MOMS www.MothersofMilitarySupport.org will bring an extra enthusiasm to the events where he’ll be.

The Verl Smith Racing for Vets will make appearances at the following events:

March 26th- VA Show - 9am-12-- Phoenix VA HealthCare System, 605 East Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012---Smitty and James Surber (coming off a win at Gainesville, FL) and Rick Green (AHDRA road representative)
