2012 Hawaya Racing Pro Drag SchoolHawaya Racing is announcing their schedule for the 2012 Pro Drag School. Two Derringer powered Pro Drag bikes provided by Hawaya Racing will be tuned and made ready for each phase of the school and what is sure to be the most accelerating ride of your life! All you need is your personal riding gear. Each class covers 2 ½ days that cover everything from the basics of drag racing to the mental aspects of drag racing, right through the basic tuning and riding technique of a NITRO HARLEY. The two classes are scheduled for 2012 at the Rockingham Drag Way in Rockingham, NC. The AHDRA will be holding point’s events the weekend immediately following completion of each of the Nitro Harley Drag Schools. Dates for the AHDRA events are May 5-6, 2012 and October 13-14, 2012. Craig Tharpe and other AHDRA officials will be on sight during the school event to monitor each phase of the school. If you complete the course successfully you will receive your AHDRA license and be ready to go racing! The school bikes are available for lease at select events. They are provided on a first come first serve basis. As of this announcement, Steve Pier, a graduate of the 2011 Fall Nitro School, has leased one of the school bikes for (8) events this year. Steve went on to qualify and go made it all the way to the finals at his first race! The cost for the school is $2,200.00 per rider (8-rider limit). It requires a 50% deposit to secure your spot in the class and the balance must be paid 30 days prior to school. The cost for Crew Chief and Crew Members is $450.00 per person (no limit). The crew will actually attend class with you and then will learn the in’s and out’s of turning the bike around between rounds.
