Stotz Racing Official Press Release
Manufacturers Cup - Huge Success
Almost 600 entries 34 ProStreet, 33 Pro Comp, 8 Top Fuel, and more sportsmen that I have seen in years. That was almost double the normal entries of any race since 2001-2002. Fantastic weather and track conditions made for the perfect weekend. Stotz Racing took advantage of it posting our best numbers ever and the quickest pass (7.13 ET@200mph) of the A ProStreet class for the weekend. This kept our Little Red Honda the quickest 1000 ProStreet ever and only .002 behind the all-time quickest pass. Everyone was waiting to see who could be the first to break into the 7.00 range. We only test to the 1/8 mile as we know our last 1/8 mile is usually 2.42 to 2.45 and the lightweight 1000’s do not have the durability that the big 1340cc motors do at the 500horsepower range. Fridays test went well producing our best 1/8th ever (4.64ET @ 165mph). Had we run it all the way through, the 4.64 first 1/8th plus our average 2.44 last 1/8th equal a 7.08 ¼ mile. I am not a shoulda-woulda-coulda guy. Our 7.13 was the quickest of the weekend, but we will have to wait for the March Manufacturers Cup to go for the first 7.00 ProStreet pass.

I want to give a BIG shoutout to the nine manufacturers that got together to put on this fantastic race. MRE, Orient Express, MTC, Star Racing, MPS, PR Factory Store, Fast by GAST, Schnitz Racing, and Brock’s Performance. Jay, Skip, Eric, George&Jackie, Dan, Don, Paul, Dave, and Brock. I have raced with or worked with every one of you over the last 20 years and am very proud to call you my friend. Motorcycle drag racing on the National level is a relatively small community, but the regional participation is very large. I know for fact that right now there are people working to couple the ever growing regional series with a National points program. They are basing this off the highly successful Loretta Lynn Motocross series format. This could take our sport to a higher level than ever. Stay tuned to my next race report.
Shoutout to Orient Express for sponsoring the ProStreet class as they have for years, Star Racing for building my heads (even between rounds), Falicon for the best cranks and rods, Airtech’s bodywork, JE Pistons, Cycle-Tek shifters, XXX Fuels, Mickey Thompson Tires, BST (quick accelerating) carbon fiber wheels, WorldWide Bearings, Pro Honda Oils, Win Racing tuning, HyperPro suspension, Barry Henson for his years of dedication to Turbocharging and ProStreet, and the best engineered bikes in the world from Honda and the Rider’s Club of America. Thank you to my son Frankie for riding and prepping, my wife Sharon for cooking and (other things), crew chief Mark Harrel for 10 years of “whatever you need” and our newest Stotz Racing crew member Roy Dean for making this race possible and fun.
