Larry “Spiderman” McBride has set a new electric motorcycle record , running the quarter-mile in 6.94 and hitting 201 mph.

Larry McBride set the record on Friday,5/4/12.

The Lawless Industries owned, McBride ridden bike was put together by Orange County Choppers awhile back and has been showcased on the show.

The electric bike is powered by a 355-volt lithium battery with a 14.2 kWh capacity, built by Derek Barger of High Tech Systems, that supposedly could put out 1340 hp when combined with the motorcycle’s 13-inch GE motor (that was originally built for a drag truck, then upgraded) and customized 4000-amp Zilla speed controller.

The numbers are mind-boggling: The battery weighs 250 pounds, and runs at 355 volts, 4,000 amps and 14.2 kWh. The 13-inch GE electric motor develops 1,340 horsepower
