Ray Price Racing Retains Lead in Points AHDRA Chase
With one goal in mind, ‘reaching the winners circle’ the Ray Price Nitro Harley Race Team took to the track at the AHDRA Screamin’ Eagle Liberty Nationals May 22nd and 23rd. The Ray Price Nitro Harley Race Team captured the number one qualifying position in the second round with an impressive 6.298 ET at 228 mph. In the first round, the team ran a 6.533 ET at 229.94 mph then finished off the day with a 6.331 ET at 228.89 mph. Remarkably, the team has now earned the number one qualifying spot six out the last seven races it has competed in. Sunday’s eliminations brought success in the first round with Sternotti running 6.463 ET at 221.38 mph at the finish line. With a bye run in the second round Sternotti then ran 6.618 ET at 177.09 mph to move the team closer to the finals. While the team’s day ended earlier than expected in the third round, their strong performance on the track moved them decisively into first place overall, with a forty-three point lead.
