Capone Racing Captures World Record, #1 qualifier and Top 5 spot at the AHDRA Finals

Wakefield, Mass: Frank Capone continues his amazing streak in his 2nd season with the AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing Assoc.).

Capone came into the Jim McClure Nationals presented by the Carolina-Harley-Davidson Dealers Assoc. at Rockingham Dragway in the Piedmont area of NC in the 6th spot nationally. BUT his goal this season had been, after winning Pro Rookie of the Year in 2010 was to place in the Top 5 of the highly competitive Pro Modified class. Coming into the Rock, Capone know he had to make a serious impact at the well attended event.

Capone and team, Mark Godin, Richard Murray, Lorne Buchanan and Mark Colburn were up to the challenge. After earning additional points for qualifying #1 in a full field of Pro Mod competitors, Capone went on to smash the old ET record with a 5.264 in the 1/8 mile and the old 1/8 mile mph 131.5, the new Capone Racing set the standard at 134.8 mph. The old 1/4 mile ET record was 8.43 seconds and Capone shaved off a 1/10 of a second to bring the new record back to Wakefield with a 8.338 in the 1/4 mile.

Capone also faired well in the Rush Racing Products Pro Gas Class this season.
