AHDRA: Announces 2008 Championship Series Schedule

The All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) has announced the 2008 Screamin’ Eagle Performance Parts Championship Series schedule with thirteen national events and a non-points event in Sturgis, SD.

The AHDRA will enter its 31st year of racing in 2008 and will host 16 classes of competition.

Ten out of the thirteen national events will be counted towards the 2008 Championship titles.

The 2008 season will kick off at Gainesville Raceway (Gainesville, FL) for three days of racing on February 29th, March 1st and 2nd before heading to Firebird Int’l Raceway (Phoenix, AZ) March 29th and 30th for the first West coast appearance of the series.
Gateway International Raceway (St. Louis, MO) remains on the schedule in 2008, and has moved to an earlier April slot. (April 19th, 20th)

In May, the series returns to Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX (May 3rd, 4th) and to Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA on May 24th and 25th.

June 14th and 15th, the series returns to Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH before making a first time appearance at Cecil County Raceway in Maryland on June 28th and 29th.

After a July break from the circuit, AHDRA will set out for a busy August month leading off with a non-points event in Sturgis, SD (August 5th, 6th) and just days later (August 9th, 10th) will they will take the track at Bristol Dragway in Bristol, TN. The fast-paced month will wrap up out west at Woodburn Dragstrip (Woodburn, OR) on August 23rd and 24th.

September 20th and 21st, the series heads to Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, VA.

Racing in October leads off at Rockingham Dragway (Rockingham, NC) and will be a 3-day event in 2008- October 10th, 11th and 12th.

AHDRA will return to Pomona, CA in 2008 in conjunction with California Bike Week. Racing will take place in California on Friday and Saturday, October 24th and 25th. The grand finale remains in Las Vegas, NV and will remain a 3-day event on November 14th, 15th and 16th. AHDRA will host the 2008 Championship Awards Banquet in Las Vegas on Monday, November 17th.
